You’ll apply high-level engineering concepts to solve real-world challenges and help shape custom solutions for our clients.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide pre-order engineering support, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, sequences of operation, and bills of materials.</li> <li>Collaborate with design engineering, mechanical, and production teams to develop innovative solutions for unique applications.</li> <li>Review customer plans, specifications, and scope of work to ensure alignment with product offerings and completeness before hand-off to design engineering.</li> <li>Offer technical input to product development teams regarding new products or enhancements to existing ones.</li> <li>Assist in building a library of standard design details, tools, and CAD resources for repeatable applications.</li> <li>Deliver technical training on IEM products and applications to internal teams and clients.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, UL, IEEE) during product and order evaluations.</li> <li>Provide ongoing technical consultation to internal sales and engineering teams.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of experience in design, applications, or field service roles with a focus on power products.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience with AutoCAD</li> <li>Switchgear design experience.</li> <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings&nbsp;.</li> </ul> <li>Experience with PLC and HMI programming, power studies, and protection coordination.</li> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of three-phase electric power systems, including distribution, control, protection strategies, and rotating machines.</li> <li>Proficiency in communications hardware and protocols, especially Ethernet networking, Modbus, and IEC 61850.</li> <li>Familiarity with UL and IEEE standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.) and the National Electric Code.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>The salary range for this role is $120,000 -$180,000 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Location&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>This position is available in multiple locations, including Remote , Tualatin (OR), and Jacksonville (FL).</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Why Join IEM</strong></p> <p>At IEM, you’ll join a team that powers some of the world’s most ambitious projects.
