Key responsibilities
- Administer the full Microsoft 365 platform — Entra ID, Exchange, Compliance Center, Intune, Defender, Teams, SharePoint — as its owning engineer
- Independently research and recommend industry-standard security best practices, and drive their implementation rather than waiting for direction
- Own and continuously improve the organization's security posture — Secure Score, Conditional Access, DLP, Defender configuration — as an ongoing practice
- Handle the full range of platform-related queries and support — employees, and client/partner-facing requests where the platform is involved (secure file sharing, partner SSO, access requests, and similar)
- Work directly with Microsoft and third-party partners on renewals, escalations, and best-practice guidance
- Automate repetitive platform workflows where it genuinely saves time
- Bring AI-native troubleshooting fluency to the role — using AI tools effectively to diagnose and resolve platform issues faster than traditional runbook-following alone
- Take ownership of additional IT tools and platforms beyond M365 as assigned by the IT Ops Manager — the platform scope is expected to grow with the role, not stay fixed to M365 alone
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience, with demonstrated independent ownership of security-relevant configuration — not just ticket execution against someone else's design
- Working depth in Conditional Access, DLP, and Microsoft Defender
- Comfort handling a broad range of platform support — employee, client, and partner-facing
- A Microsoft 365 certification (SC-300, MS-102, or equivalent) combined with matching real-world experience — certification alone is not sufficient on its own, and strong hands-on experience without a certification is still a valid candidate
- Demonstrated independent judgment — someone who identifies a gap and proposes a fix, rather than waiting to be told
Nice to have
- Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API) for platform workflows
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in troubleshooting or day-to-day admin work
- Prior experience at a Microsoft partner/MSP, where exposure to many client tenants builds broader pattern recognition faster than a single-tenant environment
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
