🔍 Senior Python Engineer

🚀 About the project
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to help develop and scale an enterprise-grade AI platform designed for regulated and mission-critical environments.
The platform supports both SaaS and on-premises deployments, including environments without internet access.
You will take end-to-end ownership of backend services, from API and data-model design to production deployment, reliability, and observability.

🧠 Your responsibilities

design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python

take ownership of services from design through production readiness
-
develop data models and scalable backend architectures

ensure service reliability, performance, and observability
-
lead technical reviews for new services and major changes
-
support solutions deployed in SaaS, on-premises, and air-gapped environments
-
collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams
🧩 Must haves
-
5+ years of commercial backend development experience
-
strong, hands-on expertise in Python, including asynchronous programming
-
experience designing and operating production-grade backend services
-
solid understanding of distributed systems, caching, queues, retries, and idempotency
-
experience with API design, data modelling, and observability
-
proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of backend services
-
practical experience with LLMs and modern AI tooling in software product development
-
good understanding of scalable system design and production reliability
-
good command of English

experience delivering on-premises applications, including packaging and upgrades

knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure coding

experience with Kubernetes and GitOps

knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi

contributions to open-source projects
