The Opportunity
This Business Development Manager role is responsible for growing assets under management and net flows through the IFA channel in Gauteng, with direct access to the owners and the portfolio manager.
In This Role - Develop and run a business development plan for the independent financial adviser market - Identify, approach and sign new independent financial advisers to the fund range - Grow assets under management and net flows from advisers in the territory - Retain and increase business from advisers already invested in the funds - Present the investment philosophy, funds and solutions at adviser meetings, roadshows and industry events - Report on adviser activity, pipeline, expected flows and converted business through the CRM
What The Role Requires - 4 to 8 years in financial services, including 2 to 4 years in business development or sales to independent financial advisers - An existing network of independent financial advisers - A record of meeting new-business, net-flow or asset-growth targets - Working knowledge of collective investment schemes, multi-asset funds, offshore investments and LISP platforms - Regular presentations to independent financial advisers - RE5 (essential) - South African citizen
Current titles that may apply: Investment Consultant, Retail Business Consultant, Partner Relationship Specialist, Specialist Investment Consultant, Investment Specialist, Junior or Associate BDM.
On Offer - Basic salary negotiable based on experience, R60 000 to R65 000 per month - Performance incentive: a percentage of the management fee on assets under management introduced, linked to AUM growth - Exposure to local and offshore investments
