Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP PTP (Procure-to-Pay) / MM Lead Consultant to lead procurement transformation initiatives as part of SAP S/4HANA implementation programs. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier collaboration, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, procurement teams, and technical teams to conduct workshops, optimize existing processes, define future-state solutions, and deliver an effective end-to-end Procure-to-Pay transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP PTP (Procure-to-Pay) transformation initiatives for SAP S/4HANA programs.
- Conduct business workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and fit-to-standard assessments.
- Analyze existing procurement processes and identify opportunities for process optimization and standardization.
- Design and implement end-to-end PTP solutions covering:
- Sourcing and procurement
- Purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Goods receipt and inventory management
- Invoice verification and three-way matching
- Supplier collaboration and vendor master management
- Procurement approvals and release strategies
- Define future-state business processes aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices.
- Configure SAP MM functionality, including purchasing, inventory management, and account determination.
- Work with finance teams to ensure integration between procurement, inventory, and accounts payable.
- Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to design integrations and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Support master data migration, data validation, and procurement data cleansing activities.
- Lead functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
- Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documents, and training materials.
- Support cutover planning, go-live activities, hypercare, and post-implementation support.
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to project team members.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience, with strong expertise in SAP MM and Procure-to-Pay processes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and purchasing processes.
- Experience configuring SAP MM, including purchasing, inventory management, goods movements, and invoice verification.
- Knowledge of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoice processing.
- Experience with supplier master data, material master data, and procurement data management.
- Understanding of integration between SAP MM, FI/AP, and other relevant SAP modules.
- Proven experience conducting business workshops, fit-to-standard assessments, and process design sessions.
- Ability to define future-state procurement processes and recommend SAP best-practice solutions.
- Experience preparing functional specifications, test scripts, and process documentation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the client's office in Elma, NY.
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
