Zenviron is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major Wind Farm project in the Hunter Region, NSW.
This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading renewable energy contractor and play a key role in delivering one of Australia's largest clean energy infrastructure projects. Initially based in our Newcastle office, you will support engineering, procurement and planning activities before transitioning to site during the construction phase.
As the Senior Project Engineer, you will provide leadership across civil construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery while coordinating engineering, construction, commercial and quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of civil construction work packages across the project lifecycle
- Manage detailed earthworks, foundations, drainage, roads, hardstands, underground services and associated civil infrastructure.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction activities to ensure project milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Review engineering designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure constructability and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership to site teams, supervisors and subcontractors, resolving engineering and construction challenges.
- Manage RFIs, design changes, non-conformances, redline mark-ups and as-built documentation.
- Monitor project performance, costs, productivity and forecasts while identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Support commercial activities including subcontractor management, variations, progress claims and cost reporting.
- Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, collaboration and continuous improvement across the project team.
What You Will Bring
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer or similar role delivering large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads and associated civil scopes.
- Experience working on major construction, infrastructure, energy, resources or renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering compliance, quality assurance and construction delivery processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors, project costs, schedules, forecasting and commercial outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- RPEQ, CPEng or eligibility to obtain professional registration will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
The Opportunity
This position is ideally suited to candidates based in Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Sydney, Dubbo or the Mid North Coast regions. Preference will be given to candidates who can initially work from the Newcastle office before transitioning to site during project delivery.
The project will operate on a DIDO basis, with camp accommodation provided. A competitive remuneration package will be offered, along with roster arrangements designed to maximise time at home.
