**Head of Customer Data \& Analytics**

**About Us**

Refined Brands Group are digital pioneers of the ethical fashion movement, with a strong focus on natural, organic, and recycled materials, coupled with local design and manufacturing.

The group began with Celtic \& Co. in 2021, with Turtle Doves, Kettlewell Colours, and Frugi joining in 2022\.

Based a few miles from Newquay, we champion British manufacturing and ethical, sustainable, high\-quality clothing. Our mission is to build a better fashion future, prioritising responsibility to the environment.

We have big ambitions for continued growth and pride ourselves on being a great place to work. This is an exciting opportunity to join an international, purpose\-driven brand.

**Role Overview**

This is a broad, senior role that combines hands\-on ownership of the group’s data and BI platform with the commercial insight that turns it into better decisions across our four brands.

You will build and run the Power BI / Microsoft Fabric environment — keeping it accurate, fast, and reliable — and you will be the person who makes sure our brand directors have the information, insight, and challenge they need to make better marketing and commercial decisions. The brand directors own marketing direction and spend; your job is to make those decisions as well\-informed as they can be.

You will also lead and develop the analyst, growing them from a report\-writer and data\-extractor into a genuine insight generator — so that, over time, more of the routine reporting sits with the team and you can focus on the highest\-value analysis. It is a genuinely hybrid role: equally comfortable in a data model and in front of the board.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Data \& BI Platform — build and run**

* Own the Power BI / Microsoft Fabric estate — semantic models, datasets, dataflows, workspaces, and Fabric capacity. * Design and maintain robust, well\-documented data models (star schemas, relationships, DAX measures) as a single source of truth across all four brands. * Build, monitor, and optimise data pipelines integrating multiple sources (e\-commerce/Shopify, ERP, CRM, marketing platforms, catalogue, and finance). * Optimise performance — query tuning (DAX, SQL, Power Query/M), refresh times, and capacity usage — keeping reports fast, current, and cost\-efficient. * Ensure platform stability and reliability: refresh scheduling, monitoring, alerting, error handling, and incident resolution. * Implement data governance and security — row\-level security, access control, naming and version standards, and documentation. * Automate reporting and manual processes to reduce effort and error, and prepare clean, well\-structured data to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases.

**Insight, Commercial Support \& Leadership**

* Give brand directors the information, insight, and support they need to make better marketing and commercial decisions — turning data into clear, decision\-ready insight and surfacing opportunities and risks early. * Equip brand directors with the insight to shape marketing and customer strategy — segmentation, personalisation, customer lifetime value, retention, and loyalty — backed by clear, evidence\-based recommendations. * Use marketing\-mix modelling and spend\-efficiency analysis to help brand directors allocate budget well, providing interpretation, recommendations, and constructive challenge, while they own the spend decision. * Inform catalogue marketing decisions with data\-driven guidance on customer selection, contact frequency, and creative optimisation. * Act as a trusted decision\-support partner — pressure\-testing plans, challenging assumptions, and making sure the numbers behind a decision stack up. * Build a regular cadence of insight into the brand directors’ planning and budget reviews, so analysis routinely informs decisions rather than depending on ad\-hoc requests. * Present clear, decision\-ready insight to the Group CEO, Brand Managing Directors, and board. * Lead, coach, and develop the analyst — building analytical rigour, commercial thinking, and storytelling, and progressively shifting routine reporting to the team so you can focus on higher\-value work.

**Requirements \& Qualifications**

**Technical**

* Proven hands\-on experience building and optimising in Power BI (advanced DAX, Power Query/M, and data modelling). * Experience with Microsoft Fabric, or the wider Azure data stack (Synapse, Data Factory, Lakehouse/OneLake, Dataflows Gen2\). * Strong SQL; Python an advantage. * ETL/ELT pipeline design, performance optimisation, capacity management, and data governance / security (RLS).

**Commercial \& Insight**

* Senior customer insight or commercial analytics experience (fashion, retail, or e\-commerce preferred). * Proven ability to translate data into commercial recommendations that senior decision\-makers act on — not just reporting. * Marketing analytics expertise: Marketing Mix Modelling, CLV, segmentation, CRM, attribution, and customer\-journey optimisation. * Excellent storytelling and stakeholder management — with the credibility to advise, influence, and constructively challenge brand directors and board\-level decision\-makers who own the direction and budget.

**Leadership \& Overall**

* People leadership — coaching and developing an analyst beyond report\-writing. * A genuinely hybrid profile — equally credible building and optimising the platform and advising senior stakeholders — with the judgement to balance hands\-on delivery against strategic priorities. * Strategic mindset with a genuine passion for using data to drive decisions.

**What We Offer**

* Exclusive 50% discount off all Refined Brands after 1 month * 32 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays), increasing with length of service * Flexible working patterns (Delete as required) * Free 24/7 access to our Employment Assistance Program, AXA Health * Cycle to work Scheme * Home \& Tech Scheme * Recommend a friend recruitment scheme, where you can gain £100 worth of vouchers for any brand * Free fruit twice a week * Paid volunteering opportunities * Private medical insurance * Ethical, sustainable brands * Working in beautiful Cornwall with its world\-renowned beaches close by allows to a positive work life balance * A supportive open minded team environment * Family feel business

*The more diversity we have in our team, the more unique perspectives and bright ideas we share. At Refined Brands we are driven by alternative thinking, which to us means all ideas, personal beliefs, points of view, empower us to be a better more inclusive place to work.*
