Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager will oversee the development and optimization of pump products, ensuring efficiency and alignment with customer requirements. The role involves managing product testing, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring integration with production plans while maintaining high-quality standards in the pump industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
- Oversee product development activities, including new product ideation, category extensions, and product optimization.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless scaling and manufacturing of pumps.
- Utilize manpower effectively to meet production requirements in alignment with the production plan.
Technical Development:
- Lead technical development to scale up products for commercialization, including formula creation, label copy, specifications, and quality criteria.
- Conduct market research, including competitive and price analysis, to support business cases for product opportunities.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Define and communicate product design criteria to external resources (vendors, co-manufacturers) and drive timely project execution.
- Act as a bridge between customer feedback, requirements, and R&D, developing unique value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
Market & Customer Insights:
- Analyze customer needs and competitor strategies to inform product development and positioning.
Skills & Qualification:
- BE/AMIE/M.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience in R&D, including product development and technical management
- Pump design, CAD tools (AutoCAD, UG), SAP, 2D/3D modeling, QA documentation
- Concept-to-scale-up, testing, and commercialization expertise
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
