About the Role
We are looking for a Senior GenAI / AI Engineer to join an enterprise-scale AI initiative in Sydney.
You will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying Generative AI and agent-based solutions into production environments, with a strong focus on security, scalability, observability and enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions
- Build and deploy AI agents and multi-agent architectures
- Develop backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Build AI applications using LangChain and LangGraph
- Work with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker and EKS/ECS
- Implement secure AI solutions using OAuth, RBAC and security guardrails
- Deploy solutions using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
- Work with LLMs, prompt engineering and model fine-tuning
- Develop automated unit and regression testing
- Support AI governance, compliance and responsible AI practices
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on Python development, preferably with FastAPI
- Experience with LangChain and LangGraph
- Strong AWS experience, particularly:
- AWS Bedrock
- AWS SageMaker
- EKS / ECS
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Generative AI, LLMs and agentic AI
- Prompt engineering and fine-tuning
- CI/CD and enterprise DevOps practices
- OAuth and RBAC
- PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake
- Experience with AI security, governance and guardrails
- Hugging Face and Semantic Kernel are highly desirable
Industry Experience
Experience delivering technology solutions within banking or financial services is highly desirable.
Experience in fraud detection, customer personalisation or conversational AI would be an advantage.
What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who have hands-on experience taking GenAI solutions from development or POC through to enterprise-scale production, rather than purely theoretical or research-based experience.
