We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant to lead an end-to-end implementation for a mid-market client in the installation and field-services industry.

🔹 Role Overview
You will own the Business Central implementation end-to-end, including configuration, job costing, integrations, data migration, AL extensions, testing, training, and go-live support.
Our in-house team will handle the Power Platform development. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements and preparing clear functional specifications for the development team.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and convert manual Excel-based workflows into a structured BC data model.
- Configure GL, Cash Management, AR/AP, Purchasing, Job Costing, Project Management, and progress/partial invoicing.
- Manage targeted data migration from Excel, including data cleanup and validation.
- Configure and validate the HubSpot–Business Central connector and field mapping.
- Develop AL extensions, custom fields/tables, page modifications, and report/document layouts where required.
- Conduct an early QuickBooks Online API assessment, particularly around payroll-field access limitations.
- Prepare functional specifications for Power Platform solutions such as commission, scheduling, and PTO workflows.
- Right-size Business Central licensing across approximately 25 users.
- Lead SIT/UAT, including parallel validation of commission calculations against existing Excel calculations.
- Deliver user training and support phased go-live and hypercare.
🔹 Required Experience
- 5+ full-cycle Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
- At least 2 implementations for project-based, installation, or field-services businesses.
- Strong hands-on experience with BC Job Costing and Project Management, including planning lines, job journals, WIP, and resource costing.
- Strong knowledge of AL programming, Extensions v2, Visual Studio Code, and Report Designer.
- Practical experience with progress/partial invoicing in Business Central.
- Experience with HubSpot–Business Central integration.
- Direct experience with the QuickBooks Online API, particularly payroll-field access limitations.
- Strong understanding of BC licensing tiers and user-based licensing requirements.
- Experience migrating data from unstructured Excel sources, not only ERP-to-ERP migrations.
🔹 Strongly Preferred
- Experience defining requirements for profit-based or partial-payment commission calculations.
- Experience preparing clear functional specifications for a separate Power Platform / development team.
- Understanding of field-crew and mobile-user adoption challenges and the ability to identify potential UX risks.
