**Position Overview:**
The Technical Writer (SaaS Products) is responsible for creating clear, structured, and user\-friendly documentation that enables customers, internal teams, and partners to effectively understand and use the platform. This role bridges the gap between technical teams and end users by transforming complex product functionality into simple, accessible content.
The role involves developing a wide range of documentation including user guides, product manuals, implementation documents, training materials, release notes, and knowledge base articles. The Technical Writer works closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, and Customer Success teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and aligned with product releases.
This position requires strong writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage documentation projects independently in a remote, fast\-paced SaaS environment.
**How You Make a Difference: Responsibilities**
* Create and maintain user guides, technical manuals, implementation guides, and product documentation. * Develop training materials, onboarding guides, tutorials, and learning resources for end users and internal teams. * Write and manage knowledge base articles, FAQs, troubleshooting documents, and support content. * Collaborate with Product, Engineering, AI, QA, and Customer Success teams to understand product functionality and document new features. * Create release notes and feature announcements for product updates. * Ensure documentation remains accurate, up\-to\-date, and aligned with product releases. * Gather information through interviews, product walkthroughs, testing, and collaboration sessions with subject matter experts. * Establish documentation standards, templates, and best practices. * Organize and maintain documentation repositories and knowledge management systems. * Review existing documentation and continuously improve content quality and user experience.
**What You’ll Need: Qualifications**
**Education**
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Journalism, or a related field
Relevant certifications in Technical Writing, Content Development, or Documentation Tools are an added advantage
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in B2B SaaS environments. * Familiarity with AI, HRTech, Recruiting Tech, Workforce Management, or Enterprise Software products. * Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, GitBook, Document360, MadCap Flare, or * similar platforms. * Basic understanding of APIs, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies. * Experience creating video scripts, training presentations, and product onboarding materials.
**Experience:**
* 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or similar role * Proven experience in documenting SaaS products, software applications, or cloud\-based platforms * Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross\-functional teams
**Skills:**
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command over grammar and style * Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences (technical and non\-technical) * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high\-quality documentation * Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote work setup
**Technical \& Functional Skills**
* Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, GitBook, Document360, MadCap Flare, or similar * Familiarity with knowledge base systems and content management practices * Basic understanding of APIs, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies * Ability to understand product workflows through hands\-on usage and testing
**Preferred Skills (Good to Have)**
* Experience in B2B SaaS environments * Exposure to domains such as AI, HRTech, Recruiting Tech, Workforce Management, or Enterprise Software * Experience creating training content, onboarding materials, and video scripts * Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and user behavior
