Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Data Engineer Trainer to train students and working professionals in modern data engineering technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, Python, cloud platforms, and big data technologies.
The candidate should be able to deliver practical, project-based training and help learners develop industry-ready data engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led training on Data Engineering concepts and tools.
- Teach SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data pipeline development.
- Provide hands-on training in Apache Spark, PySpark, and Apache Airflow.
- Train learners on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Explain data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse architectures.
- Design practical assignments, real-time projects, and case studies.
- Develop training materials, presentations, exercises, and assessments.
- Guide learners through end-to-end data engineering projects.
- Evaluate learner progress and provide technical support.
- Keep training content updated with current industry practices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of Git, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working as a Data Engineer or in a related technical role.
- Previous experience delivering technical training or mentoring.
- Experience with real-time industry projects and practical demonstrations.
- Relevant certifications in cloud computing or data engineering are an advantage.
