**Job Overview**

Macdonald Operations Managers play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience to all our guests. They have a keen eye for detail, an organised approach and a willingness to exceed our guest expectation. Often operating on the front line, they are the real ambassadors of our company, and are committed to consistently delivering high standards.

**Duties**

* Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments including front desk, housekeeping, food \& beverage, and maintenance * Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences * Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and service quality * Manage guest relations, addressing complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of satisfaction * Coordinate with human resources on recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and staff development programmes * Monitor financial performance, control costs, and optimise revenue streams * Ensure compliance with health \& safety regulations and hotel industry standards * Organise staff schedules to meet operational demands while maintaining fair labour practices * Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement

**Experience**

* Proven supervisory experience within the hotel industry is essential * Extensive hotel experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams effectively * Experience in human resources management including recruitment, training, and performance appraisals * Excellent guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences * Prior experience in hospitality management roles that involve overseeing multiple departments is preferred
