We are looking for a proactive and adaptable QA Analyst with solid experience in manual testing and API testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications. The ideal candidate is a plug-and-play resource who can quickly understand business requirements, adapt to existing processes, and contribute effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced development environment.
The candidate must be comfortable working with changing priorities, tight deadlines, and frequent development releases while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web applications, software systems, and other digital solutions to identify defects and ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
- Conduct API testing to validate endpoints, request and response payloads, status codes, data integrity, and error handling.
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test data based on functional and technical specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing as required.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using established defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, as applicable.
- Adapt quickly to new systems, tools, workflows, and changing project requirements.
- Provide timely testing feedback to support rapid development cycles and release schedules.
- Ensure adequate test coverage while balancing speed, accuracy, and overall product quality.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and other QA documentation as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance or testing, preferably in a fast-paced development environment.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing and API testing.
- Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON payloads, request headers, and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience in writing and executing test cases, documenting defects, and conducting regression testing.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or equivalent platforms.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and become productive with minimal onboarding.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to frequent changes in requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile teams with short sprint cycles and frequent releases.
- Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation and backend verification.
- Exposure to browser-based application testing and integration testing.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts is an advantage but not required.
