We are looking for a motivated System Developer with experience in application development, maintenance, and support. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Java development, strong SQL skills, and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role involves developing and enhancing applications, resolving technical issues, supporting integrations, and collaborating with project teams throughout the development and testing lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–3 years of relevant application development experience
- Hands-on experience in Java development
- Strong SQL and relational database experience
- Experience in application development and enhancements
- Knowledge of bug fixing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience in unit and integration testing
- Exposure to application deployment or program movement
- Experience creating technical documentation
- Working knowledge of SDLC
Preferred / Advantage:
- REST API development and integration experience
- UI development experience
- Process and table design knowledge
- System testing and data validation experience
- Production or application support experience
- Agile or Scrum environment exposure
- Experience in insurance or financial services applications
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop programs and application enhancements
- Resolve program issues, defects, and errors
- Participate in UI, process, table, and program design
- Develop or support APIs and system integrations
- Conduct unit and integration testing
- Support system testing, QA, and UAT activities
- Deploy programs following client program movement standards
- Prepare program specifications and technical documentation
- Provide technical consultation during application development and test case preparation
- Respond to technical inquiries and service desk escalations involving developed programs
