About the Role
As Cook, you will support our guests, their families and staff by:
- Preparing nutritious, high-quality meals, snacks and refreshments
- Catering for dietary, cultural, religious and medical requirements
- Supporting family-style dining experiences and special events
- Maintaining food safety, infection control and kitchen compliance standards
- Assisting with stock control and kitchen organisation
- Working collaboratively with staff and volunteers to create a positive experience for guests and families
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and infection control practices
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A compassionate, customer-focused approach
Highly Regarded
- Barista experience or experience operating commercial coffee machines
- Experience in healthcare, aged care, disability or community services
Essential Requirements
- Current Paid Blue Card
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy
