About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join the team and develop scalable, reliable, cloud-native backend solutions. The role focuses on Java-based microservices, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, database management, and deploying microservices on Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and scalable distributed systems.

Work extensively with PostgreSQL in production environments, including Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server.

Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Develop and maintain asynchronous integrations using Azure Service Bus and Apache Kafka.

Apply event-driven architecture and distributed system patterns to ensure reliability and data consistency.

Manage database schema changes and migrations using Liquibase, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

Work with Azure services, particularly Azure Monitor and Key Vault.

Implement and maintain observability solutions, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

Troubleshoot performance and operational issues across microservices, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

Work comfortably in Linux-based environments and use scripting for automation.
Required Experience & Skills

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

Extensive production experience with PostgreSQL.

Practical experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server.

Experience with AKS/Kubernetes and cloud-native application deployment.

Production experience with Azure Service Bus and Kafka.

Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.

Hands-on experience with Liquibase and database migration strategies.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, monitoring, and security.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
