Security Architect – Microsoft & Multi-Vendor Security

Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Security Architect to lead the architecture and design phase of a Greenfield Security Project for a Hong Kong-based client.
The ideal candidate will work directly with the client to understand security requirements, recommend best practices, design the target security architecture, define integration patterns, and establish the implementation strategy.
This is a client-facing architecture role requiring strong hands-on experience across Microsoft Security and multi-vendor security platforms. The implementation may be delivered by partner/professional services teams, so the candidate must be capable of providing strong technical direction and architectural oversight throughout the implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Security Architect and client-facing technical advisor throughout the architecture and design phase.
- Conduct technical workshops with clients and understand security, business, and technical requirements.
- Design and architect security solutions using:
- Proofpoint
- CyberArk
- ManageEngine
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Design integrations between Microsoft security solutions and third-party security platforms.
- Define end-to-end multi-vendor security architecture and integration patterns.
- Evaluate multiple implementation approaches and present:
- Architecture options
- Benefits and limitations
- Risks
- Trade-offs
- Recommended approach
- Define security controls, deployment strategies, implementation approaches, and integration architecture.
- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance to implementation partners and professional services teams.
- Review implementation designs and ensure alignment with the approved security architecture.
- Prepare and maintain:
- High-Level Design (HLD)
- Low-Level Design (LLD)
- Architecture diagrams
- Integration documents
- Technical recommendations
- Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and client presentations.
- Ensure the proposed solution is secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- 8–10+ years of experience in Security Architecture / Security Engineering.
- Strong hands-on implementation and architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Proofpoint
- CyberArk
- ManageEngine
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Security ecosystem, including:
- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft security integrations
- Strong experience designing and integrating multi-vendor security solutions.
- Experience defining security architecture, integration patterns, deployment approaches, and implementation strategies.
- Strong experience preparing HLD, LLD, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex security architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple clients and security projects.
- Experience delivering or architecting Greenfield security implementations.
- Experience working with partner/professional services implementation teams.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- Microsoft SC-100
- Microsoft SC-200
- CISSP
- CyberArk Defender / Sentry
- Other relevant Microsoft or Security certifications.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Security Architect who can independently engage with clients, understand security requirements, design a multi-vendor security architecture, evaluate technical trade-offs, document the solution, and provide technical leadership to implementation teams.
Not a Fit For
- Candidates with only GRC / Governance / Risk / Compliance / Audit experience.
- Candidates without hands-on experience in the required security technologies.
- Candidates who have worked only as Security Administrators without architecture/design ownership.
- Candidates without strong client-facing communication skills.
- Candidates who lack experience with multi-vendor security architecture and integrations.
