Data Engineer - Customer Data Integration
Role Summary
Responsible for building, integrating, and supporting customer data pipelines that power the Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) and Insider One. The role focuses on data extraction, transformation, API integrations, workflow orchestration, platform operations, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and optimize SQL queries, datasets, and customer profiling assets from multiple EDL CCMR tables.
· Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes.
· Develop and maintain REST API integrations.
· Generate and manage JSON payloads for downstream systems.
· Implement authentication, batching, retries, error handling, and failed-record reprocessing.
· Process large datasets within Spark, Impala, or enterprise data platforms.
· Build and support workflow orchestration using Airflow, NiFi, or similar tools.
· Manage scheduling, dependencies, restart, and recovery processes.
· Configure and support Insider One technical integrations and customer attribute ingestion.
· Implement data quality validation and reconciliation checks.
· Troubleshoot data issues and conduct root cause analysis.
· Manage API credentials, connectivity, monitoring, logging, and production support activities.
· Collaborate with business analysts and vendors to ensure successful deployment of customer data solutions.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
· 3-8 years of experience in data engineering or integration development.
· Strong SQL and database development skills.
· Experience with Python, REST APIs, and JSON.
· Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, Impala, Hive, or similar big data technologies.
· Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, NiFi, Control-M, etc.).
· Knowledge of data quality and reconciliation practices.
· Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting.
Preferred
· Banking or financial services experience.
· Customer data platform (CDP), CRM, or marketing platform integration experience.
