About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Mobile Native Engineer to own the native layer of our mobile apps. The apps are built in React Native. You will build the native modules on Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) that connect them to device features, third-party SDKs and security controls. You will work closely with the React Native, back-end and security teams, and support the apps through certification, launch and ongoing releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain native Android and iOS components for the company’s mobile applications
- Build and maintain React Native native modules and integrate third-party native SDKs
- Implement mobile security best practices for secure data storage, authentication and protection of sensitive information
- Ensure app performance, stability and compatibility across devices and OS versions
- Manage app builds, signing, releases and updates on Google Play and the Apple App Store
- Set up and maintain mobile CI/CD, monitoring and crash reporting
- Support testing, security audits, partner certifications and compliance requirements, and fix issues found
- Write clean, tested and well-documented code, and review other developers’ code
- Work with front-end, back-end, QA, security and product teams to plan and deliver features
- Mentor team members on native development and support hiring as the team grows
- Use AI tools to improve development speed and quality, and review AI output carefully
- Stay current with Android, iOS and mobile development trends and apply them where useful
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
- 6+ years of native mobile development experience
- Strong Android skills: Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack, Coroutines, Gradle
- Working iOS skills: Swift, UIKit / SwiftUI, Xcode, CocoaPods / Swift Package Manager
- Hands-on experience building React Native native modules and bridging native SDKs
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs in production apps
- Strong mobile security knowledge: Keystore / Keychain, encryption, SSL pinning, root/jailbreak detection, ProGuard / R8 obfuscation
- Experience with permissions, background services, SMS handling and deep links on both platforms
- Experience publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play and the Apple App Store
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON and secure authentication (OAuth2 / JWT)
- Experience with Git and mobile CI/CD tools
- Good English communication and the ability to explain native concepts to non-native developers
Good to Have
- Experience on payment, wallet or banking apps
- Experience with bank or regulatory app certification
- Knowledge of the React Native New Architecture (Turbo Modules, JSI, Fabric)
- Experience with Flutter platform channels
- Knowledge of the OWASP Mobile Top 10 and MASVS
- Experience with Firebase, Crashlytics and mobile analytics tools
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
