About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Programmer Analyst – Java Full Stack to support the development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software applications and APIs. The ideal candidate has solid experience in Java development, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, relational databases, and full-stack technologies, including ReactJS and Node.js.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and Waterfall methodologies, software testing, API documentation, and technical documentation. This role requires someone who can develop reliable, maintainable solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate effectively throughout the software development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and debug software applications using Java Core and Java 8.
- Design, develop, and support RESTful microservices and REST APIs using Spring Boot.
- Implement data access and persistence solutions using JPA and Hibernate.
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent platforms, including writing SQL queries and understanding database table structures.
- Develop and maintain full-stack application components using ReactJS and Node.js.
- Write meaningful unit tests using JUnit to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Perform API testing using Postman, cURL, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Create and maintain API documentation using Javadocs, OpenAPI, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Debug Java programs, investigate technical issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Use Maven for build management and Git for version control.
- Follow established SDLC processes and apply Agile or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation to support development, testing, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with relevant team members to support software development activities and deliver quality solutions.
Qualifications
- Solid, proven experience in Java Core/Foundation and Java 8.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, and REST APIs.
- Experience with JPA and Hibernate.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL queries and table structures.
- Experience using Maven and Git.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman, cURL, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with API documentation using Javadocs, OpenAPI, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for Java applications.
- Experience reading and writing technical documentation.
- Knowledge of ReactJS and Node.js.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
