The Electrical and Electronics Professional will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical and electronic systems, including automation and control systems used in the production of refractory materials. This includes kilns, mixers, conveyors, furnaces, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults in kilns, furnaces, hydraulic presses, and heavy machinery.
Repair and replace faulty electrical/electronic components (e.g., motors, sensors, relays, control panels).
Automation & Instrumentation
Work with PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems for process automation.
Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation such as temperature controllers, thermocouples, and load cells.
System Installation & Upgrades
Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and automation systems.
Upgrade existing electrical systems to improve energy efficiency and production reliability.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and company SOPs.
Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
Maintain proper documentation for maintenance activities, compliance audits, and regulatory requirements.
Project Support
Support engineering projects involving the expansion or modification of plant electrical systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, mechanical maintenance, quality assurance).
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of industrial experience (preferably in a refractory, cement, steel, or ceramic plant).
Strong knowledge of power systems, motor control circuits, and industrial automation.
Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
Familiarity with high-temperature process control.
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Understanding of electrical safety regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, or local standards).
Preferred Skills
Experience with energy management systems.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems (to coordinate with mechanical teams).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
Knowledge of ISO or TPM practices in manufacturing.
