Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Management:

  • Implement and maintain the company’s quality control systems and processes.
  • Develop and update quality control procedures to ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications for all refractory products.

Testing and Inspection:

  • Oversee testing of refractory products for various properties such as thermal resistance, mechanical strength, and chemical composition.
  • Supervise and perform routine inspections of production processes to monitor quality at every stage of production.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and other relevant methods for product assessment.

Team Supervision and Training:

  • Lead, train, and mentor the quality control team to enhance productivity and quality awareness.
  • Assign tasks, track team performance, and ensure adherence to quality control protocols.
  • Conduct training programs on quality standards, safety procedures, and new testing methods.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, test results, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports for management, highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the relevant department for corrective action.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify root causes of defects or quality issues and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and evaluate product feedback, suggesting improvements based on customer complaints or product failures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, reduced waste, and enhanced product quality.

Supplier Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections on incoming raw materials, ensuring they meet the required standards before being used in production.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the quality control processes.
  • Promote a safety-conscious culture by enforcing safe working practices in the QC laboratory and production areas.

ualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in the refractory, ceramics, or manufacturing industry.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and testing procedures in refractory materials.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
  • Certifications:
  • Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO auditor) would be a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.
  • Work is typically carried out in a factory environment, which may involve exposure to high temperatures and heavy machinery.
